Job Role: Diesel Mechanic - Trade Test

We are looking for a Qualified Skilled Mechanic who has professional experience in maintaining and repairing heavy trucks and trailers.
You will be mainly responsible for identifying, diagnosing and fixing any issues with our trucks with the aim of ensuring maximum functionality and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Matric Grade 12 Certificate
• Diesel Trade Tested Certificate
• Theoretical and practical knowledge to high quality workmanship
• 5+ years of proven experience and exposure as a qualified mechanic
• Excellent knowledge and skills of mechanical and electronic components of heavy trucks and trailers

Requirement:

• Must possess multiple technical skillsets to perform duties with the highest level of efficiency.
• Be accurate and organized to remain up to date on the state of the vehicles
• Provide support to the Group operations by promoting customer safety and customer satisfaction thus, meet all the objectives that provide the framework for exceptional quality work performance Qualifications and Skills:
• Immensely detail oriented with the ability to observe the much needed safety precautions by performing preventative maintenance work Be efficient in time management and coordinated
• Have good verbal and written skills Duties: - **Maintain vehicle functional condition by -** listening to driver complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical systems malfunctions; replacing damaged parts and components
• Verifying vehicle serviceability and record service notes for managers
• Find and identify mechanical faults
• Advise managers on repairs needed and how critical they are
• Consulting with other mechanics on issues that seem complex and coordinate with other departments and team members to order parts
• Perform mechanical and electrical work related to the diagnosed mechanical malfunctions
• Accomplish maintenance and organization by completing related results as needed
