Job Description
A Diesel Mechanic position is available in Sishen (Northern Cape).
This is a permanent role and only registered Mechanics will be considered for this role.
Suitable candidates must have Grade 12, Trade test (red seal) & valid driverxe2x80x99s license with relevant experience.
Candidates residing in the Northern Cape will be preferred.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Maths)
- Trade Test (Red Seal Certificate)
- Valid Drivers License (Code8/10)
- 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a (mining) maintenance environment, preferably plant and machinery
- Understanding of and practical experience in pneumatics, hydraulics and pumps
- PLC controls and basic instrumentation - advantageous
Timeous and quality delivered mechanical tasks
- On site breakdowns, call outs, repairs, modifications, routine equipment audits.
- Managing quality
- Provide technical support and advice to the Operations and clients about the implementation of, training on, and marketing of the ECU systems.
- Managing stocks.
- Managing cost control
- Manage compliance to all relevant SHERQ legislation and codes of practice
- Maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Audit maintenance plan compliance
- Pump safety audits
- Maintenance specific inspections
- Orderliness and cleanliness of workshop and work environment
- Good housekeeping.
