We are looking for a qualified Dental Therapist to join our mobile health team, based in Thabazimbi with rotations across Limpopo and the Northern Cape. You will provide comprehensive oral health care in schools and community settings, including examinations, preventive care, basic restorative treatment, simple extractions, oral health education, and appropriate referrals, with a strong focus on underserved populations.
Key responsibilities include:
Clinical care: examinations, diagnostics, prophylaxis, debridement, fillings, simple extractions, radiographs, preventive and educational interventions.
Mobile clinic operations: daily setup, instrument care, stock control, equipment checks, infection prevention and control, and clinical waste management.
Administration: accurate clinical notes on GoodX, consent processes, daily reporting, and record-keeping for treatments and materials.
Community and teamwork: school and community outreach, collaboration with DoH facilities, and working within a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements:
Dental Therapy Diploma/Degree (HPCSA and SAQA recognised)
HPCSA registration as a Dental Therapist and current CPD
Minimum 2 years' clinical experience, ideally in community or primary care
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel across Limpopo/Northern Cape
Strong communication, adaptability, and comfort working in rural/underserved settings
