Job Description

Purpose of the Position


Supports the assessment, qualification, and preparation of technology and business demand, ensuring requests are properly analysed and documented for prioritisation.



Key Performance Objectives


Demand Qualification and Analysis

Engage with requestors to clarify scope and business value. Perform feasibility assessments with Architecture and Delivery. Identify dependencies and capability alignment.

Demand Documentation and Preparation

Collaborate on business case preparation. Validate quality of submissions before prioritisation reviews.

Business Case and Investment Support

Work with finance and business stakeholders to estimate cost profiles, resource models, and ROI for new demand. Coordinate contributions from Architecture, Security, and Service Management to inform comprehensive assessments.

Stakeholder Engagement and Support

Liaise with business and technical stakeholders. Educate users on demand process and documentation needs. Serve as a liaison between Technology PMO, Business Relationship Managers, and Delivery Teams to ensure smooth handover of qualified demand. Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders in product, strategy, operations, and finance.

Data and Reporting Support

Maintain accurate demand records. Support analysis of trends and issues. Participate in quarterly and annual portfolio planning sessions to support forecasting and alignment activities. Maintain alignment of in-flight and proposed demand against strategic themes and KPIs

Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Sharing

Identify process gaps or bottlenecks in demand intake and contribute improvement ideas. Act as a super-user for the demand intake tool and contribute to training materials or onboarding packs.

People Management

Encourage frequent knowledge sharing between team members Approve leave requests for team members and create a leave plan to ensure adequate coverage Address poor performance of any team member through the formal Performance Improvement Programme and ensure that continued poor performance is appropriately dealt with Motivate team members and ensure that their efforts are recognised

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis or Information Systems.

Experience/Skills

4-6 years' experience in a business analysis, demand management, or PMO role in a

technology setting.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess business needs and translate into project

requirements.

Exposure to portfolio planning, resource forecasting, or initiative prioritisation frameworks. Hands-on experience in preparing business cases, cost-benefit analyses, or investment

appraisals.

Involvement in enterprise planning cycles, IT annual operating planning (AOP), or quarterly

demand reviews.

Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles, particularly aligning technology requests

to capability roadmaps.

Proven ability to manage a high volume of intake requests, resolve conflicts, and support

decision-making under time pressure.

Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops for demand scoping or problem definition. Good understanding of project scoping, estimation, and prioritisation frameworks. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery models.

Technical Competencies

Knowledge of demand and intake processes. Exposure to Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Proficient in demand tracking tools and Excel. Strong interpersonal skills
