Job Description


MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To ensure that all legal documentation is updated and processed timeously. To analyse the accounts before initiating debtor contact and examine the historical data, evaluate the collection efforts that were tried in the past.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deal with accounts under debt review, administration, sequestration, debt consolidation and debt mediation, as well as administration orders, court notices and court orders.
  • Be able to effectively engage with customers and escalate matters where necessary
  • To action administrative duties related to specialised collections
  • Allocate payments received to the corresponding accounts and deal with refunds.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1 year experience within a Debt Review environment will be advantageous
  • Administrative work
  • Data capturing

  • MS Office Proficiency

  • Good command of the English and an additional language
  • Must be numerate and have strong attention to detail
Specific knowledge, skills & aptitudes
  • Have knowledge of the National Credit Act and the Collections industry
  • Knowledge of billing and collections procedures
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Applicants studying towards a LLB Degree or similar will be advantages
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have a Senior Certificate xe2x80x93 Grade 12
  • Available to work Saturdays as business requires
  • Applicant may be subjected to criminal and reference checks, as well as competency assessments
