Key Responsibilities: Payroll Processing End-to-end processing of monthly payroll on Sage VIP, including:
Capturing inputs such as new engagements, terminations, salary adjustments, loans, perks tax (including company car and apprentice-related changes), etc
Ensuring accurate application of tax directives and statutory deductions
Perks Tax Calculations Compile and calculate:
Perks tax schedules for employee loans
Fringe benefit values and tax for company car usage
Third Party Administration Compile and calculate:
Perks tax schedules for employee loans
Fringe benefit values and tax for company usage
HR Systems and Portals Maintain employee records and transactions on external systems:
Capture new hires and terminations on Liberty and MIBCO online portals
Cancel medical aid cover for terminated employees promptly
MIBCO Administration
Manage all aspects of MIBCO compliance, submissions, and reporting
SARS and Compliance
Load EMP201 submissions and send them to the Operations Manager for review
Ensure all payroll practices adhere to SARS, MIBCO, and labour law requirements
Do quarterly STATSA reporting
Assist with Repots for EE and BBBEE reporting
Support to HR & Operations Collaborate closely with branch-level HR Administrators:
Assist with payroll inputs and resolve payroll-related queries
Ensure any adjustments, queries, or follow-ups are resolved promptly in collaboration with the HR and Operations Managers
Assist with audit processes, reporting, and payroll reconciliations as needed
Provide payroll-related support to the Accounts department during year-end procedures
System Management
Run full system backups monthly and roll over payroll periods on Sage VIP to ensure timely readiness for new month's inputs
Maintain data accuracy and system integrity at all times
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a full-function payroll role administration position within a dealership environment
Motor industry experience is Essential!!
Proficient in Sage VIP Premier; exposure to ESS and online submission portals (Liberty, MIBCO) is advantageous
Strong understanding of payroll compliance, perks tax, third-party reconciliations, and SARS submissions
Experience working in a multi-branch or group-level environment is preferred
