Period: One-year fixed term contract
Position Reports to: Operations Manager /Customs Manager
Division: Customs Border Ports of Entry
Locations: Free State, Northern Cape, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu Natal, Limpopo, Head Office, Gauteng, Northwest

Job Purpose
To provide administrative service, through coordinating and facilitating Customs and Excise processes and provide necessary information to enable effective reporting and administration within respective business units, in accordance with applicable legislation, policies and set standards
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required

  • NQF Level 4 (Matric) with Mathematics and or Accounting / or Advanced Certificate in Accounting/ or Audit.
  • At least 1 years' experience in customer service environment will be an added advantage.
Job Outputs:
  • Communication of transactional outputs and queries in area of work.
  • Deliver on contracted performance objectives according to set procedures and agreed service level agreements.

  • Report on transactional activity progression within set guidelines to provide timely information for decision making in area of accountability.
  • Prepare, review, and submit documentation accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with all customs and excise regulations and policies.
  • Keep accurate records of all transactions and correspondence.
  • Assist with administrative tasks within the relevant unit.
