As a proactive and detail-oriented Creditors Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing our accounts payable process, ensuring timely, accurate payments, and maintaining strong relationships with our creditors. Key Responsibilities:



Process and reconcile bank accounts daily.

Approve and pay ad hoc supplier invoices promptly.

Ensure regular supplier invoices are processed and paid weekly.

Reconcile control accounts weekly with detailed age analysis.

Finalize month-end reconciliations within the first week of each month.

Resolve queries and reconciling items swiftly (within 2-3 days, no later than month-end).

Reconcile approximately 100 creditor statements monthly, ensuring accuracy.

Ensure timely payment of all creditor statements (by 28th of each month).

Accurately load payments onto the banking platform with correct recipient details and proof of payment.

Handle creditor-related queries professionally and efficiently.

Prepare weekly reports on outstanding creditors and assist with ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Weekly reconciliations of control accounts

Skills and Qualifications:



Experience:

5 years of experience in a similar creditors environment.

Excel Skills:

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Accounting Software Experience:

Familiarity with any accounting package such as Pastel, Xero, or Sage is highly desirable.

Education:

Tertiary education in accounting will be an advantage.

Attention to Detail:

Strong focus on accuracy and precision in all tasks.

Multitasking:

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize workload.

Time Management:

Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Communication:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve issues independently.
