Costing Engineer (parow)

Job Description
The company employs a diverse workforce with a strong skill set in engineering. We are currently seeking a Costing Engineer to join our team and support our project and production cost management. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects based on specifications, drawings, and data.
- Analyze material, labour, and overhead costs to determine project budgets and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to gather relevant cost data.
- Monitor cost trends and provide regular reports to management for informed decision-making.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Maintain and update cost databases and documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Support tendering and bidding processes with detailed costing analysis.
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or a related field is considered an advantage
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
- Experience in engineering field either HVAC / ventilation / fans or applications is advantageous
- A strong work ethic and high level of self-motivation
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Energetic and enthusiastic approach to tasks
- Methodical, organized, and structured in work practices
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving goals
- High attention to detail
- Proficient in computer use and common software applications
