Job Description
SUMMARY:
Our client is a respected and established manufacturer in Southern Africa, known for delivering engineered solutions to industrial, mining, HVAC, and power generation sectors. They are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Costing Engineer to support their project and production cost management function.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates based on technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements
- Analyze materials, labour, and overhead costs to establish budgets and pricing strategies
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to compile cost data
- Monitor cost trends and generate reports for management decision-making
- Identify and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising safety or quality
- Maintain and update internal costing databases and documentation
- Assist in tendering and bidding processes with thorough cost analysis
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or a related field (advantageous)
- Proven experience in a similar costing or estimating role
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
