Position Overview: They are seeking a Corporate Actions Administrator to join their Operations department. This role reports directly to both Corporate Action Managers and collaborates closely with the Settlements and Banking & Cash Settlements teams. As a Corporate Actions Administrator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the correct and effective management of local and international corporate actions and events. Your work will contribute to minimizing the risk of erroneous capturing and processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all local and international corporate actions on all securities.
  • Prepare and submit monthly DWT submissions to SARS (local) / IRS (US).
  • Manage all proxy requirements.
  • Oversee and manage all elections.
  • Continuously improve automated corporate action processing.
  • Handle Transfer Secretarial Services.
  • Ensure daily submission of SOH to Strate is done promptly.
  • Take responsibility for all monthly reporting requirements.
  • Manage instrument management tasks.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
  • Tertiary education in a related field is preferable.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a Corporate Actions related role.
  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of Strate, JSE events, and international markets in respect of corporate events.
Additional Information:
  • The position will require in-office training for the first 2-3 weeks, with the flexibility to work from home thereafter.
  • Weekly in-office presence (1 day a week) is required initially, with the possibility of changes in the future.
