Division

One of the largest businesses within the Sanlam Group, Sanlam Corporate (SC) specialises in the provision of risk, investment and administration services to institutions and retirement funds. Focused on meeting the unique needs of its diverse clients, SC assists companies in creating and delivering customised employee benefits solutions, including the collection of premiums and communication to fund members

Purpose of the role

To provide Sanlam Group Risk clients with policy documents and other contractual documents which fully comply with all requests from the client and the terms and conditions of the insurer within a certain time-frame.

Responsibilities

Policy documents

  • Drafting and finalisation of Group Risk policy documents and other contractual documents for new and existing clients
  • Analyze and investigate relevant information to ensure accurate policy documents and other contractual documents
  • Timeously attend to enquiries relating to policy documents and other contractual documents
Stakeholder engagement
  • Negotiations with CRM's/Sales consultants/Front Offices/Risk Consultants and internal departments regarding policy wording with the aim to deliver client service and final documentation
  • Building long-term client relationships
Legislation
  • Long Term Insurance Act
  • Other relevant legislation that may impact the policy documents
Responsibilities (continuous)

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)
  • GhostDraft/Content Manager/MIP-PF
  • Group Risk product knowledge
  • Dependent on input from consultants and other departments

Qualification & experience
  • Matric / Grade 12 with good grades in Languages
  • Tertiary qualifications advantageous
  • Experience in a contracts drafting environment or in the Group Risk environment of at least 5 years
  • Well-versed in English and Afrikaans
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)
Knowledge and Skills
  • Good product knowledge and a broad understanding of the Group Risk and / or Employee Benefits environment
  • The ability to interpret policy provisions and client instructions
  • Competent in Microsoft Word and Outlook
