Content Writer Manager - IT - South AfricaJob Advert SummaryEduvos is looking to employ the services of an Content Writer Manager for our IT faculty.Purpose of the role:To manage a content writing team to provide all digital learning content and assessment for the Information Technology faculty.Minimum RequirementsA minimum of a post graduate qualification in the IT field.At least three yearsxe2x80x99 experience of lecturing and / or developing study materials for Higher Education.Publishing of academic journals will be advantageous.Two years management experience; or demonstrated management potentialDuties and ResponsibilitiesAccountable for the delivery of learning materials to a faculty / Accountable and responsible for end-to-end content & assessment development needBudget managementPlanning and executing all development deliverables per block offerings for the academic yearWork with leads to balance and equalise distribution of workloads content writer lead(s) and content writersMonitor development progress and set deadlines for all development deliverablesEnsure quality assurance for all development deliverablesReporting xe2x80x93 regular feedback as per leaderxe2x80x99s requirementsEscalations / Decisions / Problem solving - Case Management ticket resolution where requiredResourcing and capacity management (people; equipment) - Identifying the specialized needs per qualification on offer: software and hardware where applicableEnsure operational efficiency via processes & systemsTalent acquisition, selection, onboarding - Source suitable content writer lead(s) and content writersIndividual performance - role clarity and objectives; reviews; feedback; corrective actions.Training and coaching of teamFunctional and Behavioural CompetenciesFunctional Competencies:Writing skillsProficiency in MS OfficeCompetence in field for which development takes placeProficiency in a LMS systemBehavioural Competencies:Initiative and responsibilityPeople leadership and developmentRelations and networkingEffective communication (verbal and written)Professional and technical expertiseAnalysis and judgment / problem solvingSystematic approach (planning and organising)Steadiness (emotional tenacity)
