The Department:
The internal Corporate Communications team interacts and communicates with all parts of the business,
including the managing of external communication on social media platforms. We are a fast-paced,
exciting, and problem-solving team who deliver on projects both large and small. Working with various
stakeholders around the business on communication initiatives ensures that this team keeps its finger on the pulse.

Purpose of the Role:
The Corporate Brand Marketer & Content Writer will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing
a strategic content plan aimed at promoting the Digi Brand as an employer of choice in South Africa (and
internationally as appropriate) for the following service providers:
- DigiOutsource
- DigiProcessing
- Digi Portugal

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Provide first class copy and content for use across all social media platforms and profiles, corporate
websites, as well as all internal communications relating to internal blog posts, emails, corporate
events, corporate wellness, charity, etc.
  • Conceptualize and implement a strategic content plan to promote the Digi brand externally and
internally.
  • Meeting copy deadlines and taking accountability of end product xe2x80x93 on time, on brand and on brief
delivery.
  • Monthly reporting of content performance per platform to assess efficiency and adjust content
strategy if necessary.
  • Monthly research of content trends and social media trends and updates, reporting on these, and
using these insights to drive content plan.
  • Keep abreast of talent branding activity by competitors and ensuring that the team is briefed on
these trends and elements critical to Digixe2x80x99s promotion.
  • Ensure correct tone of messaging in terms of brand and medium.
  • Copy checking xe2x80x93 to ensure work is of the highest quality, using appropriate tone and fit for purpose
  • Brainstorm, write, and execute concepts and blog articles as part of a larger content plan for
employer branding purposes. Initiative required!
  • Ensure social media posts are accurate, relevant, positive, up-beat, fun (or informative as
necessary), brand compliant, and legal (including the granting of permission from subjects that
includes a photo of them).
  • Supporting the business in direct interactions and responses to all public or private comments,
emails, and posts on social media sites.
  • Assisting the team with the formulation and compiling of creative and innovative promotional
concepts for talent acquisition and brand awareness.
  • Contributing towards blog related content both on internal and external platforms.
  • Compilation of a comprehensive strategy for all promotional and brand activity.
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition Team (recruitment) with a content strategy around promoting the Digi
brand both online and at recruitment events (where necessary).
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners, Recruitment, Wellness, Charity Committee and
Organisational Development teams, as their activity may form the basis of content for public and
internal postings/blogs/etc.
  • Assisting the above internal partners with incorporating the brand into the business initiatives and
executing all communications around these events.
  • Involvement in special projects where needed
  • ROI will primarily be measured by an increase in direct recruitment of talent through internally
managed channels; and by an increase in the ratings achieved during the participation in the Best
Employers to Work For initiatives.

Essential Criteria:
  • 2-3 yearsxe2x80x99 proven experience in copywriting, content creation, content strategy, and content
planning for various online platforms.
  • Portfolio of writing.
  • Brand Marketing experience.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing/Communications/Advertising or related field.
  • Proficiency with writing programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent, highly developed verbal and especially written communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Understanding of writing for SEO
  • Hands-on experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, SharePoint)
  • Understanding of the difference between writing for various digital project channels (like a website,
email, and social media).
