Job Description

Job Summary Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SHEQ implementation and compliance for national construction projects.
  • Manage and support on-site Safety Officers.
  • Ensure all legal requirements are met and safety files are fully up to date.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and authorities on SHEQ matters.
  • Provide SHEQ input during tender and project start-up phases.
  • Track and close out all non-conformances and audit findings.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and cross-site best practice sharing.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 8+ years in a SHEQ Manager or similar role within a construction environment.
  • Proven civil construction experience.
  • Exposure to water treatment, mining, petrochemical, or power sectors beneficial.
  • BTech / Advanced Diploma in Safety Management (NQF Level 7) - Essential
  • SACPCMP registered at CHSM level - Essential
  • COMSOC 1 & 2 - Essential
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable transport (frequent travel required).
  • Strong working knowledge of Passport 360 and HSEC systems.
Skills & Attributes:
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of OHSA & MHSA
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset
  • Able to perform well under pressure
