Our project, in partnership with the African Union Commission (AUC), the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), and the Central Corridor Transit Trade Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA), is dedicated to fostering green infrastructure development across Africa through five pivotal components: * Development of a Continental Green Infrastructure Policy.

  • Advisory for Climate Resilient & Low Carbon Infrastructure Projects in the Central Corridor.
  • Advisory for Digital Solutions of Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Green Infrastructure & Trade.
  • Formulation of a Digital Strategy and Advisory on Digital Topics in the Infrastructure & Trade Sector.
  • Just Transition for Technology Transfer, Climate Finance, and Gender.
We are currently seeking a Communications Advisor to support activities within Components 2, 3, and 4, while also contributing to the comprehensive Monitoring & Evaluation of the entire Programme.

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Political Science, International Development, or a closely related field.
  • Elevate your profile with additional vocational training and qualifications in communication or graphic design (a definite plus).
Professional Experience: Your Journey Matters
  • Embark on this adventure with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Communications.

  • Shine brighter with professional experience in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and reporting (an asset).

Data Steward: Manage the project's Monitoring & Evaluation system, collecting, recording, and interpreting data in alignment with the results monitoring framework.

Procurement Prodigy: Strategically plan and prepare GIZ tender packages, ensuring seamless coordination with partners. Manage service providers and consultancies, covering various areas such as video development, graphic design, podcasts, and study publications.

The Communications Advisor will work closely with the Communications Advisor at AUDA-NEPAD to align and develop joint communication products. As part of the GIZ AU Communications Team you will also work closely with other GIZ projectsxe2x80x99 communication focal persons and with the overall GIZ AU Communications advisor.
