Setting the Scene

NTT Ltd has created a newly formed Infrastructure Economics FinOps Practice.

The role of FinOps within NTT is to make specific recommendations to optimize our Digital Infrastructure in Cloud, Intelligent Networks, Zero Trust and Device Management.

When we take advantage of Zero Trust technologies and move our workloads to the Public Cloud in Microsoft Azure, we need to continue to nurture our products by finding the most cost-effective ways of operating and running the environment, whilst staying within the guard rails of our architectural principles.

The team will perform data analysis to identify opportunities for optimization but we need a way to measure and track the impact of these initiatives.

This role will therefore play a pivotal role in tracking, measuring, and monitoring the impact of these changes whilst implementing a commercial framework to recover the cost of our Azure Consumption from application owners and business units within NTT Group.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Accountable for the monthly cost recovery chargeback process of our Microsoft Azure Consumption from business units that consume the services.
• Analyse optimization initiative's and report against key metrics the impact these have on our financial budget.
• Work closely with colleagues in the Infrastructure Economics FinOps POD structure to capture the initiatives for cost optimization.
• Develop and manage a centralized reporting dashboard to show the impact of cost optimization initiatives.
• Validate the savings accrued with colleagues in Finance.
• Assist with the resolution of issues pertaining to the service.
• Adhere to and follow the relevant development and support processes.
• Communicate and escalate if any issues arise or deliverables cannot be met and request assistance to ensure closure of issues.
• Take responsibility for delivery of project elements with minimal supervision.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

• Broad understanding of finance business practices and processes
• Excellent team player who displays good client service orientation with well-developed administrative and organization skills
• Meticulous attention to detail whilst working under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to listen empathetically.
• Ability to build rapport and engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to convert business requirements into operational deliverables (functional requirements) to meet business objectives.
• Excellent documentation skills
• Very good working knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Exchange, Word, Excel Project, PowerPoint, and Visio

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Project management certification would be advantageous.
• Relevant technology certification(s)

Required Experience:

• Demonstrable experience as a Commercial Analyst gained within a technology service environment.
• Demonstrable experience of managing cost recovery of services within a business or practice
• Collecting data from artifacts and summarising the data in dashboard views
• Experience of building dashboards using Power BI
• Demonstrable experience in the process of developing and implementing new services and systems.
• Coordinating and managing tasks, and projects
