Position Title
IT Infrastructure Analyst (Fixed Term)

Position Overview
The IT Infrastructure Analyst will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality, availability, and performance. A successful candidate must have thorough knowledge of computer hardware, software, peripherals and a variety of internet applications, networks, and operating systems.

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Follow the IMACD principles for computers.
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
  • End user support on hardware, printers, software and related devices
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
  • Perform standby and work overtime when required
  • Communicate, share knowledge, and provide feedback to End-Users
  • Develop and maintain documentation of hardware and software.
  • Provide orientation and guidance on how to operate new hardware, software and peripherals
  • Embrace and live Tronox values
  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives of systems and processes
  • Adhere to OHS act and comply with SHE policies and procedures
Qualifications & Experience
  • National Diploma in Information, Technology, or related field (Mandatory)
  • Grade 12 (Mandatory)
  • A valid Driversxe2x80x99 License (Mandatory)
  • A recognized hardware and/or software qualification such as A+, N+ or MCSE (Advantageous)
  • A minimum of 3 - 4 yearsxe2x80x99 experience with Hardware, Software & Computer Network & End-user IT support (Mandatory)
Knowledge & Skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of configuration and installation of Microsoft products.
  • Comprehension of quality management techniques and principles
  • Ability to evaluate and analyse data, facts and figures
  • Good knowledge of security and data privacy principles
  • Up-to-date knowledge of new hardware, software, and applications
