Duties & Responsibilities

Setting of CNC Lathe and milling machines.

Programming of machines where necessary.

Responsible for the condition of all jigs forms.

Inform Section Head of faulty programming.

Signing of drawings and operators log when finished.

Pre-planning according to schedule to ensure minimal downtime.

All jobs processed must be done according to supplied schedule unless otherwise explained by the Section Head.

Ensure that all Operators are wearing appropriate PPE.

Assist with training of the Operators.

Control and maintain consumables usage.

Identify problems and report to Section Head.

Manage and monitor all quality and quantity produced from machines.

Constant monitoring of machines to ensure maximum productivity.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Completed matric Completed Trade Test (beneficial) At least 3 years relevant experience Ability to read and interpret design blueprints.
