Job Description

Job Summary Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the entire factory operations including cutting, sewing, finishing, and quality control.
Develop and implement strategies to increase productivity and performance while reducing costs.
Ensure all production deadlines are met without compromising the quality.
Supervise, train, and manage factory staff, including setting performance standards and conducting evaluations.
Collaborate with other department heads to ensure coordination and efficiency across the supply chain.
Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
Analyse production data and reports to detect inefficiencies or need for improvements.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the factory environment.
Manage budgeting and production forecasting.
Maintain equipment and manage factory maintenance schedules to ensure uninterrupted production.
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure the best deals and ensure that all components meet our specifications and quality standards.
Work closely with the design and product development team to align production capabilities with market demands.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of the textile production and manufacturing process.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Proven ability to manage production schedules and resources effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Proficiency in manufacturing management software and MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Tertiary Education in a relevant field.
Minimum of 5 years in a textile manufacturing environment, preferably in a CMT operation.
Remuneration: R35 000 - R50 000 - Dependent on experience and industry exposure
