Hammarsdale - Our client is a leading clothing CMT business with a reputation for excellence in craftsmanship and innovation in the textile industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Factory Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high quality of output.
Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the entire factory operations including cutting, sewing, finishing, and quality control.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase productivity and performance while reducing costs.
• Ensure all production deadlines are met without compromising the quality.
• Supervise, train, and manage factory staff, including setting performance standards and conducting evaluations.
• Collaborate with other department heads to ensure coordination and efficiency across the supply chain.
• Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
• Analyse production data and reports to detect inefficiencies or need for improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the factory environment.
• Manage budgeting and production forecasting.
• Maintain equipment and manage factory maintenance schedules to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure the best deals and ensure that all components meet our specifications and quality standards.
• Work closely with the design and product development team to align production capabilities with market demands.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of the textile production and manufacturing process.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Proven ability to manage production schedules and resources effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Proficiency in manufacturing management software and MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Tertiary Education in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years in a clothing manufacturing environment, preferably in a CMT operation.

Remuneration: R30 000 - R45 000 - Dependent on experience and industry exposure
