Overview
An established construction firm in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is looking to appoint an experienced Civils Foreman. The company works extensively with municipal clients, including the City of Cape Town, and specializes in factories, office blocks, community halls, and a wide range of civil infrastructure projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on foreman with strong site management skills to join a growing team with a full project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all civil construction activities on-site including earthworks, concrete, formwork, and utility installations.
• Coordinate tasks with subcontractors, site teams, suppliers, and management.
• Ensure daily site documentation is accurately maintained (e.g. production logs, timesheets, materials tracking).
• Conduct regular health and safety checks, toolbox talks, and ensure full compliance with SHEQ protocols.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure correct implementation.
• Ensure work is completed on time, to quality standards, and within project budget.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' proven experience as a Civils Foreman in building or municipal infrastructure projects.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, project sequencing, and technical drawings.
• Previous experience working on city/government projects (advantageous).
• Ability to lead and manage teams on-site effectively.
• Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and own transport required.
