Job Description
Position Responsibilities: Lead the civil team and provide guidance Must be able to work autonomously Mentor the younger engineers Take ownership of the civil team Communicate with senior management regarding progress Take initiative and identify areas where we as a civil team can improve Lead by example The option is there, depending on the individual's performance to be promoted to the Head of Department - Civil. The position will be mostly office based, depending on the maturity and remote work effectiveness of the candidate, a hybrid system can be arranged. Must have a valid driver's license.
Position Requirements: Between 5 - 10 years' experience. Must be close to registration or already Pr Eng/Tech If not registered, will have to register within 12 months Must be technically strong, understand first principle calculations, execute designs and have attention to detail to check drawings. Understand BOQs and how to populate BOQs Can be a specialist in some Civil disciplines but it's essential to understand and apply broad knowledge across the various civil disciplines. Be experienced in hydraulic analysis for water pipelines and stormwater. Be experienced in technical report writing. Must be able to do a project schedule, understand the interconnectivity of the various activities and maintain the schedule, civil works. Software: Be experienced in Civil 3D & AutoCAD HEC-RAS
