VACANCY: Child and Youth Care Worker (Qualified) - South Africa
We are seeking a
qualified Child and Youth Care Worker
to join our team and make a lasting impact in the lives of vulnerable children and youth. If you are passionate about child development, trauma-informed care, and creating safe, supportive environments, we want to hear from you.Requirements:
Recognised qualification
in Child and Youth Care (minimum NQF Level 5).Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP)
. Minimum1 year of practical experience
in a residential or community-based setting. Strong understanding of child protection policies, behaviour management, and psychosocial support. Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Clear criminal record and valid driver's license (preferred).Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care, supervision, and emotional support to children and youth. Implement individual development plans and daily routines. Foster a stable and nurturing environment that supports growth and healing. Monitor behaviour, maintain case records, and report concerns appropriately. Work collaboratively with social workers, educators, and other professionals.
