Job Description
CA Finance are currently assisting a multinational client in their search for a commercially minded CA(SA) with strong Retail & FMCG experience to take up the role of CFO. The successful individual will be tasked with overseeing the finances of the entire retail division within the Group.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a key member of the management team charged with spearheading the company's growth.
- Maintain and review of financial, and enterprise risk management procedures, ensuring that the appropriate internal controls are in place.
- Oversight of statutory and tax related matters for retail companies.
- Accountable for budgets, financial reviews and reporting activities
- Manage the audit process and ensure deadlines are met.
- Authorising payments across the various business units within the retail division of the Group
- Work alongside the Group CFO to ensure that all financial and strategic targets are met.
- Qualified CA(SA) ideally with previous experience as a CFO or within a Senior Financial Management level role.
- Experience within the Retail / FMCG / Food & Beverage sector is essential.
- Strong Accounting knowledge across reconciliations, stock management etc.
- A strong operational / commercial mindset.
- Previous exposure to Africa and an understanding of cross-border funding
- Must be willing to travel for work when required.
- This is an office-based role which will require the successful individual to be on-site every day.
