Job Summary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Our esteemed client, a prominent player operating in the agriculture and logistics sectors with a national footprint, is seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the financial and systems aspects of their business. This pivotal role will involve implementing robust financial models, analyzing data and reporting, managing earnings and cash flow projections, and spearheading the initiation, implementation, and maintenance of cutting-edge IT and other business systems. As the CFO, your primary objective will be to safeguard the company's revenues and profits while driving sustainable growth and fostering innovation through the strategic utilization of systems and technology. Key Responsibilities: Drive the financial planning processes and establish comprehensive risk management strategies by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments. Make informed investment decisions, considering cash and liquidity risks, to optimize returns. Prepare accurate and reliable current and forecasting reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making. Lead the implementation and oversight of the company's finance IT system and other business systems, fostering continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and a competitive edge in the marketplace. Ensure appropriate cash flow management to support the organization's day-to-day operations. Conduct cost analysis and optimization initiatives to maximize operational efficiency. Establish and maintain an effective internal control system and policies. Collaborate with the board to prepare and approve budgets, providing strategic financial guidance for key business initiatives. Manage capital resources effectively to support the company's growth objectives. Engage with stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and effective communication. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree (MBA) or a related qualification would be highly recommended. Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar senior finance role. Strong proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting. Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Excellent leadership and people management skills. Effective communication skills to convey financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Ability to strategize and solve complex financial challenges. High ethical standards and integrity in financial management. Analytical mindset and comfort with working with numbers.
