Global pharmaceutical manufacturing conglomerate, with a footprint in more than a 100 countries, seeks an experienced and hands-on senior finance professional to join their close-knit South African finance team as CFO.

Job & Company Description:
The purpose of this role will be to take full end-to-end ownership of business's financial management and the local manufacturing plant.

This will include driving of local finance in order to support operations and business at achieving goals. Applying group finance strategy. Leading the implementation of high standard internal controls over financial reporting. Acting as guardian of local support function and managing risks.

Main duties will include but not be limited to:

• Financial Management, this includes controlling, full function accounting, cash and tax functions)
• Risk and Opportunity Management
• Data Collection and Analysis
• Policies Development and Implementations
• Local and International Compliance
• Internal Controls
• Local Pharmaceutical Plant Manufacturing
• Finance Department Management
• Budget, Forecasting and Business Planning

Education:
Qualified CA(SA), preferred
Qualified CIMA, ACMA / CGMA

Skills & Experience:

• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
• 5 to 8 years post articles experience within a Financial Management position, non-negotiable
• Pharmaceutical / FMCG / Manufacturing / Import and Export industry experience essential
• Hands-on accounting experience essential
• Strong consolidations experience
• Strong foreign currency experience essential
• JDE / SAP / Oracle experience essential
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Financial and business acumen
• Strong personality
• Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
• Team player
