Chief Financial Officer Finance
Johannesburg - Gauteng - South Africa

Our client, a leading manufacturer with branches throughout South Africa, is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join their team in Johannesburg.

Requirements:

• CA (SA)
• 10 years' experience as a Financial Manager, with 5 years' experience as a Chief Financial Officer of a manufacturing company
• Manufacturing experience essential

Key Performance Areas:

Strategy:

• Implement financial strategies per company strategic business plans
• Planning & implementing long term business strategies to achieve company objectives

Financial Management:

• Prepare annual company budgets
• Review group budgets monthly
• Ensure on time financial reporting
• Review General Ledger reconciliations
• Complete quarterly Tax compilations
• Manage fixed assets
• Authorization of company payments
• Reporting on the financial performance to the Board quarterly
• Managing audits & liaison with external audit

Financial Compliance & Operational Auditing:

• Report on all audit & risk related matters quarterly
• Maintain & improve internal control environment
• Develop templates for operational financial reporting
• Support FMs & operation managers with operational financial aspects
• Review the internal audit status update
• Clear internal audit findings & deliver management comments in line with auditor timeline
• Oversee & administrate external audit
• Drafting financial statements & completion of tax pack

Payroll:

• Manage the payroll staff activities
• Oversee weekly & monthly payroll runs
• Authorize payroll payments
• Oversee & manage capital investments

Staff Management:

• manage the onsite financial processes in terms of policies & procedures, performance management, training & development, recruitment, manpower planning, discipline, etc.
• Ensure compliance with company policies & procedures
• Create an effective working environment
