Food For Mzansi is recruiting. Are you a self-motivated, analytically-minded person with a proven knack for project management? Can you discern the stories that a dataset tells?
The Food For Mzansi Group (FFMG), a multichannel publisher of various niche publications, requires the services of a talented channel manager (CM). The CM would not only serve our own publications, including South Africaxe2x80x99s agriculture leader FoodForMzansi.co.za, but also paying clients from a variety of industries.
A CM at FFMG must bring a creative approach rooted in strong commercial acumen for developing new ideas. The CM must be comfortable interpreting data and keeping the bigger picture in mind while being in touch with the zeitgeist.
Understanding digital platforms and audience behaviour is critical. Project management and planning skills are required to assist the team in keeping projects on track. They must have good language and communication skills with the ability to edit and correct copy.
FFMG is a small and dynamic team, and the CM must build good relationships with the editorial, business development, and technical teams and maintain excellent client relationships.
Proficiency in the use of the following platforms and programmes is required:
Ad management: Meta Business Suite, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads (advantageous)
Copywriting and publishing: Microsoft Word, Facebook, Instagram, X, Google Cloud, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, WordPress, Mailchimp
Reporting: Sprout Social, Facebook Ads Manager, Google analytics, Facebook analytics, X analytics, Instagram analytics, Mailchimp, Airtable (advantageous)
Community management: Facebook. Instagram, LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp, TikTok, possibly other platforms
Scheduling: Meta Business Suite, third-party scheduling platforms (Hootsuite, Social Pilot, etc.)
Social media and campaign coordination: Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Word, Google Docs
Newsletters : Mailchimp, Touchbase Pro (advantageous)
Proofreading and SEO writing: WordPress, Microsoft Word
Video editing and short-form social media video: TikTok, Instagram, Canva
