Caster (Art & Design) Epping - R10,000 Per Month

The Caster will be responsible for creating objects by liquid material into a mold and allowing it to solidify.

Requirements:

2-3 Year experience as a Caster working with Resin & Polyurethane

Able to use power tools & hand tools

Carpenter experience (Advantageous)

Must reside in the surrounding area

Willing & a good attitude

Honest, Reliable & Punctual

Able to work in a team & independently

Clear Criminal Record

Responsibilities:

Preparing Molds:

Casters need to prepare molds by ensuring they are clean, properly aligned, and adequately coated with mold release agents to prevent the casting material from sticking to the mold.

Mixing Materials:

Mix different materials to create the casting mixture, combining resins, polymers, metals, or other materials with additives or catalysts.

Pouring and Curing:

Pour liquid casting material into the mold, taking care to avoid air bubbles and ensuring even distribution. Also need to control the temperature and humidity to facilitate proper curing or solidification of the material.

Demolding:

After the casting material has solidified, casters carefully remove the object from the mold. This might involve using tools, applying releasing agents, or employing specific demolding techniques.

Finishing:

Depending on the final desired outcome, casters might need to perform finishing tasks such as trimming, sanding, polishing, or painting the casted objects.
