Our 24/7/365 logistics call centre is looking for a Call Centre Operator who thrives in high-pressure environments and can juggle multiple tasks with confidence and calm.Job duties:As a key player in our fast-paced call centre, your responsibilities will include:Breakdown & Repair Coordination
Receive breakdown calls from drivers and arrange repairs through approved service providers or truck dealerships.
Maintain ongoing communication with fleet controllers regarding the repair status.
Record all details in the breakdown book for morning handover to the admin team.
Diesel Approvals
Direct drivers to approved diesel filling stations.
Authorise diesel refills, issue reference numbers, and log all relevant data into the system (fleet number, litres, time, date, kms).
Load & Route Monitoring
Capture loading and offloading details, including client info, load mass, kms, and times.
Monitor routes for any deviations and take corrective action when necessary.
Journey Management
Enforce journey and sleep plans.
Wake drivers up as needed and report delays or route deviations to Fleet Controllers.
Activate recovery protocols during emergencies like accidents or hijackings.
Pool Vehicle Management
Manage bookings for company pool vehicles.
Perform inspections and report any issues to the Technical Manager.
Requirements:
Matric / Grade 12 (Required)
2-3 years experience in a logistics or transport call centre (Required)
English fluency (Required); Afrikaans (Desired); Other SA languages (Advantageous)
Diploma in Logistics/Transport Management (Advantageous)
Strong admin skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure
Working hours:
Day Shift: 06:00 18:00
Night Shift: 18:00 06:00
Work Schedule: 3 days on / 3 days off rotation
Includes weekends and public holidays
