The Business Development Manager for the Southern Africa Region is responsible for driving strategic growth and market expansion within the region. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and developing partnerships that align =with the company's objectives. The position involves analyzing market trends, creating tailored solutions for clients, and ensuring sustainable revenue growth through innovative business strategies. The Business Development Manager acts as a key liaison between the organization and regional stakeholders, ensuring compliance with local regulations and delivering exceptional value to customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop Business with Chinese Enterprises in Southern Africa district
Develop relationships and drive business with Chinese enterprises in South Africa, extending beyond current Safety SA portfolios.
2. Joint Development of New Business Lines
Collaborate with Safety SA teams to identify and drive development of new services and strategic projects.
3. Coordinate CTI Group Resources & Support Local Capability Building
Coordinate CTI HQ and BU resources to support project execution and help BUs build local capabilities in Southern Africa district.
4. Develop Strategic & Institutional Partnerships
Establish strategic partnerships with Chinese chambers, government bodies, associations, and key clients.
5. Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights
Monitor market trends and provide analysis to support regional strategy.
KPIs include:
New client acquisition.
New revenue.
Success of business development with Chinese enterprises.
Effectiveness of new business launches.
Relevant BU capability establishment progress.
Quality of market intelligence.
Education
Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Business, Marketing, Management, or related fields.
Work Experience
10+ years of experience in business development or market expansion.
African or Belt-and-Road market experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Fluent English & Mandarin is required.
Arabic/French preferred
Strong communication.
Intercultural capability
Ability to operate independently.
Others
May undertake broader regional Business Development tasks.
