Job Description

A national FMCG company is seeking the above to be responsible for promoting the company's current and future technology and service offerings, including returnable packaging, within the Automotive, Manufacturing, and Industrial sectors.
Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' industry sales experience, with at least 3 years in the automotive supply chain
  • Minimum 5+ years in business development, product management, or key account development in a tech-driven automotive business
  • Proven value-selling experience
  • Solid understanding of relevant technologies: web/mobile apps, RFID/barcode scanners, BTLE, IOT, GPS tracking, and WMS/integration systems
  • Demonstrate strong prospective abilities with a proven track record in deal-closing and achieving sales targets
  • Willing and able to travel nationally as required by the role
  • Possess excellent analytical skills to assess customer needs and align appropriate solutions
  • Skilled in drafting compelling proposals and professional reports tailored to client objectives
  • Manage multiple projects effectively while maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills in diverse business settings
  • Bring a flexible, solution-oriented mindset and contribute positively within a team environment
  • Maintain resilience under pressure and a positive, proactive attitude toward challenges
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Delivering exceptional service to current and potential clients.
  • Guiding customers to understand products and solutions.
  • Driving sales of automotive tech solutions and returnable packaging.
  • Securing new opportunities, including with OEMs and suppliers.
  • Accurately communicating clients' needs to internal teams to shape solutions.
  • Achieving new business and annual sales targets.
  • Researching markets, qualifying leads, and executing effective sales strategies.
  • Building and managing strong customer relationships.
  • Preparing tailored proposals and leading presentations.
  • Contributing to marketing, RFI responses, quotes, and sales content.
  • Generating leads through networking, conferences, and industry events.
  • Collaborating with product development based on market feedback.
  • Staying informed on offerings and industry developments.
  • Partnering with key account managers and internal teams to drive implementation success.
  • Interfacing with major clients regularly.
  • Reporting monthly sales with variance analysis.
  • Managing resources to meet client delivery needs.
  • Providing product expertise and supporting internal improvement efforts.
  • Resolving client concerns effectively and supporting high satisfaction levels.
  • Building long-term customer partnerships.
  • Monitoring industry trends and competitor activity to inform product innovation.
  • Staying professionally current via workshops, exhibitions, and industry networking.
