Mission:

Carry out the necessary activities for the start and follow-up of new projects, up to the moment of delivery to the client or to the Engineering and Construction and Operation and Maintenance departments

Responsibilities:

Carrying out the necessary activities for the start and follow-up of new projects and current Wind and PV project pipeline, up to the moment of delivery to Engineering and Construction department and/or Operations & Maintenance Department

Identifies tender opportunities to secure Power Purchase agreement with industrial/mining companies or private corporations.

Assisting in the management of the any RFP (procurement) process, bid preparation and co-ordination to ensure compliant bids.

Support the Business Development team during tender submissions, assessing the inputs to the financial model.

Leading due diligence of prospective wind and/or solar development project acquisitions to determine project feasibility and give support in the negotiation processes

Preparing economic proposals/offers for projects to analyse with the Development Manager.

Maintaining the registration and monitoring of the projects progress on internal sales platforms.

Document and administer all project related information and providing support to the Business Development team on development of all projects at different stages of the project lifecycle.

Effective internal and external stakeholder engagement and relationship management, including engagement with contractors and local delegates.

Undertake project permitting and approval processes as regulated by the different governmental departments.

Required Skills and Competencies

Degrees-Certificates/Training: Higher Education/(Engineering and Business Administration)

Additional:

Good Understanding of renewable energy project development processes, including bringing them to financial close

Good understanding of the typical bid requirements for the renewable energy industry and financial close process

Experience in the mining sector would be an advantage

Valid driverxe2x80x99s license

Clear criminal record

Clear credit record

Must be able to travel within South Africa and the rest of Sub-Saharan Africa and abroad from time to time

Must have a proactive approach

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Language/Level: English
Years/Areas of experience: At least 6 years of experience in the duties included in the job description.
