Are you a skilled Millwright or Electrician with a passion for industrial combustion? Our client, a leading South African manufacturer of high-temperature process equipment, is seeking a Burner and Furnace Technician to join their technical services team based in Ballito, RSA. This role offers the unique opportunity to commission, maintain, and troubleshoot specialized equipment both locally and at client sites worldwide.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be a key member of the technical services team, responsible for the full lifecycle of high-temperature process equipment, from factory commissioning to on-site maintenance and troubleshooting globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform complete commissioning of incinerators, furnaces, and cremators.
Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and repair on installed equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair burner systems, control panels, and furnace components.
Provide technical assistance to clients both remotely and on-site.
Train client operators on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance.
Maintain detailed service records and reports.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Millwright OR Qualified Electrician.
Minimum 3 years experience with industrial combustion equipment, burners, or high-temperature processes.
Strong understanding of combustion principles and burner technology.
Proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical drawings.
Experience with PLC systems and industrial control panels.
Valid drivers license (Code B minimum) and willingness to travel internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
Gas installation certification (SAQCC Gas).
Previous experience in equipment commissioning.
Valid passport for international travel.
