to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both electrical and mechanical work and a strong understanding of safety procedures and technical diagrams.
Key Responsibilities:Electrical Duties:
Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, components, and equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in motors, control panels, lighting, sensors, and PLCs.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
Test electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
Mechanical Duties:
Maintain, repair, and overhaul mechanical systems such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical systems.
Align, calibrate, and test machinery to ensure proper operation.
Fabricate or modify mechanical parts using hand tools, welding, or machining tools.
General:
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and inventory.
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize equipment performance.
Adhere to workplace safety standards and use PPE at all times.
Requirements:
Technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related field.
2-5 years of relevant experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance or similar roles.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in both electrical and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with PLC systems, automation equipment, and industrial machinery.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
Basic computer skills for maintenance logging and reporting.
Good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Licensed or certified electrician or mechanic (as required by local laws).
Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities maintenance environment.
Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA, NEC, or NFPA.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
