Summary
Buffet Chef / CDP - Upmarket Catering - Cape Town
An exclusive high-end corporate catering operation providing premium breakfast and lunch services within a luxury office environment. The venue features a 120-seater restaurant serving approximately 600 professionals and their clients, with an average of 300 meals per day. The operation delivers both buffet and a la carte options at a five-star standard, supported by a team of over 30 catering professionals.
Remuneration: R15 000 - R17 000 CTC
Start Date: As close to 15 December as possible (site opening early January 2026)
Days & Hours of Work:
Mainly Monday to Friday, operating hours from 7am to 5pm. Limited function work on weekends and evenings.
Description
- Lead daily buffet production and presentation
- Provide creative input into menus and service displays
- Supervise and coordinate shift teams in the absence of senior management
- Maintain strong technical and organizational skills
- Ensure consistent quality, hygiene, and efficiency standards
- Oversee stock control, ordering, and requisitions
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a chef in an upmarket hotel, restaurant, or buffet environment
- Matric
- Relevant tertiary culinary qualification
