Job Description


Position Outline:

Our client, an esteemed multidisciplinary engineering consultancy has a vacancy for a Bridge Detailer to join their team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will form part of the bridge team (Roads and Transportation Section) and would be responsible for structural draughting and reinforcement detailing of concrete bridge and major culvert structures. Would potentially also need to manage junior draughting/detailing personnel.

Skills:

  • Detailing of concrete bridge and major culvert structures
  • Structural draughting
  • Knowledge of SANRAL and Western Cape Government Drawing Standards
  • Basic Contract Documentation (BOQ and Specifications)
  • Project Administration
  • Site inspections and supervision of construction of bridges and major culverts would be beneficial
  • Accreditation as a Bridge and Culvert Inspector would be beneficial
Qualifications:
  • National Diploma (Civil Engineering) or higher
  • Software (Revit, AutoCAD, Prokon, Addo Bar, CadsRC).
  • Exposure to bridge design software would be beneficial
  • Minimum of 8 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in detailing of bridge structures and major culverts
Computer Literacy:
  • Computer literate and proficient in the Microsoft Suite of Packages
Personality Profile:
  • Team player
  • Independent and pro-active
  • Good work ethic
  • Good time management
Key performance areas will be discussed once candidate has been interviewed.

This positionxe2x80x99s salary is commensurate with qualification and experience.
