Job Description


A growing FMCG company is looking for a Brand Manager to grow and develop a range of personal care products across their brand assortment. Also, to manage the marketing plan for their existing range of leading international and local brands.

This is a great opportunity for an energetic and passionate Brand Manager with Wholesale Beauty Products experience.

Education:

  • Relevant Degree or Diploma
Skills/Experience required:
  • 4 years or more experience as a Brand Manager in a relevant FMCG environment
  • Previous experience in the Personal Care industry
  • Previous experience dealing with well-known retailers
  • Experience with and an understanding of market research
  • Experience in retail product development/ management.
  • Ability to deal with B2B vendors and clients at management level
:
  • Developing a deep understanding of the category, channel, competitor dynamics and consumer preferences.
  • Leading brand positioning and architecture.
  • Developing and executing brand strategies and marketing plans, with a focus on category and channel insights, profitability and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring a 3-year NPD pipeline is in place, in line with consumer and category insights and brand strategies, with P&Ls and forecasting in place.
  • Managing design traffic, briefing, vetting & approval of all artwork created by the in-house designer.
  • Managing private label projects, ensuring its profitability
  • Prioritising key activities to drive the business objectives.
  • Project managing all brand and marketing activities, to ensure they are executed on time, to the highest standard and using the most effective mediums of communication.
  • Managing marketing budget and monitoring spend, to ensure relevant ROI per activity.
  • Reporting on brand and marketing performance, relative to competitors, and identifying corrective actions to ensure excellence.
  • Leading profitability improvement projects, for example, COGs value engineering, SKU rationalization, promotional plans.
  • Recommending and implementing pricing strategies aligned to category, industry and business requirements.
  • Enabling the insights agenda through effective reporting and feedback to the broader team.
  • Working cross functionally, ensuring buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Partnering with the sales team ensuring activity plans and material developed are suited to target customers, their retail environment and are cut-through.
  • Managing effective tools for the sales team to support their functions in trade, including tools for the third-party retail solutions company.
  • Leading Corporate & Hospitality strategy and growth plan, building profitable gifting catalogues and promotions.
  • Identifying & managing collab opportunities with like-minded brands to launch impactful and profitable campaigns.
  • Ensuring the right agencies and suppliers are in place to deliver on brand and marketing projects and plans, monitoring delivery and performance.
  • Building strong partnerships with agencies and suppliers and ensuring they are thoroughly immersed in the market, product categories and the brand world.
  • Signing-off all PR & Social activity and plans and budgets, ensuring KPIxe2x80x99s are in place to deliver effective and impactful.
  • Managing brand website, ensuring all updates, changes and reporting are implemented by the agency.
  • Managing brand and social competitions, ensuring T&Cxe2x80x99s are in place and that winner prizes are awarded in a professional and timeous manner.
  • Managing image library for broadsheet partners to access.
  • Managing photoshoots for product packaging and social media content shoots.
  • Managing all marketing product orders
  • Co-managing product listing documentation with the quality manager, ensuring all information and specifications are correct, compliant and up-to-date.
  • Managing product barcodes and liaising with Consumer Goods Council on packaging requirements.
  • Co-managing consumer complaints with quality manager.
  • Managing key house accounts, ensuring growth is achieved through identifying new opportunities and putting measurable plans in place.
  • Developing a business calendar to drive structure and effective communication between teams and departments.
  • Managing ad-hoc office tasks such as induction training, monthly internal brand training, employee of the month gifts and certificates, year-end functions, factory tours, building signage, sourcing of materials/items for office .
  • Managing brand Ambassadors both Celebs and sports teams.
