Job Summary
Realising the gift of the gospel and finding that few people had access to it, Christian Literature Fund (CLF) develops and distributes Christian material amongst the different language and culture groups of South Africa and beyond. CLF currently has the above-mentioned exciting career opportunity for two Bookstore Assistants to join their team at the flagship shop in Durbanville, Western Cape.
The successful incumbents will report to the Shop Manager and take responsibility for the following:
- Customer service and sales
- Stock control
- Promotions and new business opportunities
- Assistance with financial administration
- General housekeeping of shop
- A Matric certificate (Grade 12)
- Minimum of 1 years' experience in Retail and/or Sales
- Proven practical experience on Point of Sales system
- Driver's license and own transport would be advantageous
- Experience in the Christian media environment would be advantageous
- Proven practical experience in marketing of products (within retail) would be advantageous
- Sound knowledge of and experience with MS Office
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Independent and self-motivated
- Well-established moral value system
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- Friendly and welcoming demeanour
- Dependable and hardworking
- Creative and innovative personality
