Job Description
Realising the gift of the gospel and finding that few people had access to it, Christian Literature Fund (CLF) develops and distributes Christian material amongst the different language and culture groups of South Africa and beyond. CLF currently has the above-mentioned exciting career opportunity for a Bookstore Manager to join their team at the flagship shop in Durbanville, Western Cape.
The successful incumbent will report to the Operational Manager: Retail and take responsibility for the following:
- Customer service and sales
- Stock control
- Promotions and new business opportunities
- Financial administration
- General housekeeping of shop
- Internal liaisons
- Personnel management of Sales Assistants
- A Matric certificate (Grade 12)
- Minimum of 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in Retail and or Sales
- Proven practical experience in marketing of products (within retail)
- Proven practical experience in people management
- Experience in the Christian media environment would be advantageous
- Driverxe2x80x99s license and own transport
- Sound knowledge of and experience with MS Office
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Well-established moral value system
- Friendly and welcoming demeanour
- Independent and self-motivated
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- Dependable and hardworking
- Creative and innovative personality
