Job Summary An established luxury hospitality group based in Hout Bay is seeking a meticulous and skilled Bookkeeper to join their finance department. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate and organised financial records. You will be responsible for supporting the daily financial operations of the business, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the smooth running of all accounting functions. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness Process supplier invoices, payments, and staff reimbursements Capture and reconcile daily cash-ups, bank statements, and petty cash Assist with payroll processing and statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, UIF, etc.) Prepare and assist with monthly management accounts and reports Maintain efficient filing systems for financial documentation Work closely with the Accountant and management team to ensure timely financial reporting Requirements: Diploma or certificate in Accounting / Bookkeeping / Finance Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping, preferably within hospitality or service industries Proficient in Xero ; Pastel ; and Microsoft Excel (essential) Strong numerical, organisational, and administrative skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Professional and reliable with strong communication skills Must be based in or able to commute to Hout Bay What We Offer: Competitive salary package Opportunity to work within a respected luxury hospitality brand Supportive and collaborative work environment Exposure to financial processes in a high-end operational setting
