Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker with proven experience in the fabrication of conveyor idlers, frames, and structural steel components. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding steel components in accordance with engineering drawings and quality standards for mining conveyor systems.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate conveyor idler frames, return frames, impact frames, and structural supports Manufacture steel frames and brackets according to technical drawings and specifications Perform cutting, bending, drilling, grinding, and fitting of steel materials Carry out MIG, ARC, and CO? welding on mild steel components Ensure correct alignment, squareness, and dimensional accuracy of fabricated items Conduct visual inspections and assist with quality control checks Repair and refurbish damaged conveyor idlers and frames when required Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment in line with safety standards Work closely with supervisors, welders, and conveyor technicians
Minimum Requirements

Qualified Boilermaker (Red Seal preferred) Minimum 3-5 years' experience in fabrication (conveyor or mining environment advantageous) Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings Sound knowledge of steel grades, welding procedures, and fabrication tolerances Experience with hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery Strong focus on quality, safety, and productivity
Added Advantage

Experience in conveyor belt systems, idlers, rollers, and frames Welding qualifications (MIG/ARC) Experience working on mining sites
