An established and values-driven education and training organisation is seeking a highly organised and strategic Bid Specialist to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will manage the full bid and tender processxe2x80x94from opportunity identification through to submissionxe2x80x94ensuring all proposals are compelling, compliant, and aligned with organisational goals.
This role requires a strong understanding of the South African education landscape and public sector procurement processes, as well as the ability to coordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage RFQs, RFPs, and EOIs for development and submission.
• Assist senior business developers with vendor registrations and compliance queries.
• Design and draft client-specific bid and proposal content.
• Consolidate and submit weekly, monthly, and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct client follow-ups on submitted tenders and bids for performance tracking and improvement.
• Lead the preparation and coordination of competitive bids for educational projects and services.
• Conduct research on funding opportunities, competitors, and industry trends.
• Ensure all submissions comply with procurement regulations, BBBEE requirements, and client specifications.
• Liaise with internal departments (legal, finance, operations) to gather necessary inputs.
• Analyse post-bid feedback to continuously improve submission quality and win rates.

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in bid management within the education or public sector.
• Strong knowledge of South African procurement laws and tender procedures.
• Exceptional communication, writing, and editing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and risk mitigation skills.

• Familiarity with challenges and dynamics of the South African education system.
• Experience managing bids for government, corporates, or non-profit organisations.
• Solid understanding of BBBEE compliance and documentation.
