Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable individual to assist with the beekeeping side of our business. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role that involves both outdoor work and workshop tasks. You will spend time travelling between hives, servicing and maintaining them, as well as preparing and repairing hive components in the workshop.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the maintenance and servicing of beehives across multiple sites. Safely transport equipment and materials to and from apiary locations. Carry out workshop tasks such as woodworking, building and repairing hive boxes, frames, and other equipment. Perform general farm labour tasks, including digging holes, lifting and carrying heavy materials, and working with hand and power tools. Work independently to complete assigned tasks in both field and workshop settings. Follow safe working practices around tools, vehicles, and livestock (bees).

Requirements:

Valid driver's license (essential). Physically fit and able to handle hard manual labour. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work independently and responsibly. Basic woodworking or tool-handling skills (experience an advantage). Prior experience with bees is beneficial but not required - training will be provided.

Personal Attributes:

Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision. Willing to learn and adapt.
This role would be well suited to someone who is passionate about farming and working with their hands.
