Job Description
Job Summary Large corporate catering client is seeking a procurement officer. BEE candidates as per the client's EE quota. Must be able to interview face to face in Sandton. Description: Sourcing and Appointment of Suppliers Supplier Hygiene Audit Reports BEE and SME status/statistics Comparative Analysis Report Trade Agreements Superior Review Superior Review Compliance with Trade Agreements is monitored at stipulated intervals Supplier performance in terms of required quality and standards is monitored Suppliers are audited quarterly in order to ensure effective communication and service delivery Problems with suppliers are identified, reported to Superior and acted upon timeously Advantageous deals are negotiated with suppliers in respect of promotions and/or specials at stipulated intervals Applicable units are informed timeously of details of negotiated deal Inflation and other economic trends are monitored at stipulated intervals to ensure prices are in line with markets Procurement research is initiated in accordance with company/operational needs as and when required New opportunities in terms of products, innovations and suppliers are researched on an ongoing basis and proposals are submitted to superior Activities are planned annually and reviewed quarterly Feedback is provided to the Chief Operating Officer as stipulated Indices Report Superior Review
