What You'll Do:

Beverage Service

Prepare and serve beverages according to approved recipes, standards, and portion controls

Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and taste of all drinks served

Serve customers promptly and courteously

Customer Service

Greet and engage customers in a friendly, professional manner

Handle customer queries and complaints efficiently and professionally

Promote products and upsell where appropriate

Legal and Compliance

Adhere strictly to the Liquor Act of South Africa, including responsible alcohol service

Verify customer age and refuse service where legally required

Ensure no intoxicated patrons are served alcohol

Cash Handling and Administration

Accurately process orders through the POS system

Handle cash, cards, and vouchers responsibly

Report discrepancies immediately to management

Stock Control

Do stock counts, rotation, and replenishment

Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages, or breakages

Minimise wastage and losses

Other

Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and night shifts as required by the racing calendar & events

Professional appearance and conduct in line with Race Coast KwaZulu-Natal standards.

Commitment to delivering excellence and continuous improvement

What You'll Need

Matric or equivalent

Proficiency in GAAP

Qualification in Hospital (advantageous)

What We're Looking For

Minimum 1 years' experience in events, F&B, bar, restaurant

Knowledge of alcoholic beverages

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in GAAP

Strong numerical and reconciliation abilities.
