A high-energy luxury hotel in Cape Town is looking for a skilled and guest-focused
Barman
to join its Food & Beverage team. This role is perfect for a talented bartender who is passionate about mixology, enjoys crafting exceptional cocktails and thrives in a fast-paced bar environment.What You'll Do
Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers and non-alcoholic drinks to high standards Create both classic and innovative cocktails with precision and creativity Deliver warm, attentive and professional guest service Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked bar area Handle cash and process payments accurately Work closely with the service team to ensure smooth bar operations Restock inventory, maintain equipment and support bar setup and breakdown Engage with guests, offer recommendations and upsell premium beverages Comply with all hygiene, safety and alcohol service regulations
What You'll Need
2 years' bartending experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel environment Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine and beer Mixology or bartending qualification advantageous Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Confident and efficient during busy, high-pressure service periods Strong attention to detail with a well-presented, professional appearance Sound financial awareness and accurate cash handling Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
