Job Summary Job Overview: As a Banqueting and Events Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction and annual plans for our Food and Beverage Events operations. Working alongside the Food and Beverage Manager, you will lead a team to provide outstanding event services that meet exceptional quality, safety, and guest needs standards. Your role will involve coordinating the development of annual plans, ensuring successful execution of operational intent, and upholding the high standards expected of a 5-Star luxury establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies, processes, and standards for exceptional Events services.
  • Understand and meet guests' Food, Beverage, and Accommodation needs in relation to Events.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and oversight to the Events teams.
  • Collaborate with various departments and teams across the organization to ensure successful event operations.
  • Lead the Events team by setting a positive example, fostering service excellence, and promoting teamwork.
  • Monitor and improve operational effectiveness, implement quality standards, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Prepare reports on the status and performance of the Events department.
  • Support the Sales and Reservations Manager in budget preparation and revenue generation.
  • Collaborate with the Culinary and Food and Beverage Departments to create exceptional menus and offerings.
  • Uphold the organization's values, culture, and standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in hotel management, Food and Beverage, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an Events leadership role, preferably in a luxury accommodation or conferencing environment.
  • Ability to lead and develop teams, set performance indicators, and manage budgets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Additional formal qualification in Food Safety (e.g., HACCP or equivalent).
  • Experience with digital communication tools and Food and Beverage specific software.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership and implement change.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, initiative, and adaptability.
