Responsibilities
Lead and manage the BOH team to ensure smooth daily operations
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to maintain consistency and quality
Monitor and maintain food safety and hygiene compliance (R638 Regulations)
Manage stock levels, supplier orders, and inventory controls
Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills and performance
Assist with food cost management
Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and in good working order
Work closely with management and FOH to ensure seamless service
Requirements
Chef qualification or formal culinary training
Proven experience in a BOH management or senior kitchen leadership role
Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
